Hi, Guys

In answer to the track gauge, the actual S standard measures to .884", however, that's only .009" wider than 7/8" (.875"). In building turnouts, a closed-frog is about the only way to ensure smooth operation if you operate Flyer along with scale equipment. That's because the Flyer flanges will not go through scale flangeways in the frog. If you widen the flangeways to accommodate them, the scale equipment has a tough time going through without derailing. I've seen some nice hand-laid closed-frog turnouts that are difficult to tell apart unless you look closely.
