Post subject:  Yard ladders???

Howdy all.... First off lemme start off by saying I have had my fixture and tools for about a year and half now. Pretty comfortable in my skills.

The question I have is,, how would I go about laying out a yard ladder???? I love the way my rolling stock does not bob and weave through my hand laid TO's.

I want that same quality and reliability on my yard trackage.

Would I just layout some lines as centerlines and go from there???

I was trying to conceive a way to use my fixture to make the ladder.... I know the outside rail can be a continious piece. I guess I would need a measurement from frog to frog. Heck I dunno, it is late here and my brain is fried from all the x mas rush.

Thank you in advance,, Greg

Use the paper templates to layout your ladder. Draw the centerlines of the parallel tracks. Draw the ladder centerline and fit the templates. Remember you can start curving the diverging rail just past the straight frog point for a smooth yard track transition. Do 'assemblies' of parts with the fixture and then final assembly in place to maximize continuous rails.
