I was thinking of how can you power all rails in your turnout? The frog has to have a feeder to it. You have to have two power feeders for main power. But what about the other two rails that come off the frog after you cut the gap? Ya, you could add more feeders but that means more mess under the layout. What if you added one more PC tie to the back side of the frog. So that when you cut the gap you end up with two PC ties to the out side of the frog. These ties have four isolation blocks. If you started on one side of the turnout and numbered these 1,2,3,4, on both ties and keep them in the same oriontation. Then you could drill a small hole in blocks #1 and #3 to the back side of the tie. You could then take a brass rod of the same size as the hole and insert it into the hole and solder it in place. This would let the power go to the back side of the PC tie. Then if you drilled an other hole in block #3 and did the same thing it would bring the power back up to that rail. Then on the other tie do the same. But this time use blocks #2 and #4 to power the other rail. This would give power to all rails and elmanite two power feeds at the turnout. I built two curved turnouts that are in the back and hard to get to . I have been using them for a mounth now and no problems. I was thinking this would work with more complaxe track work too.
