Post subject:  Caboose ground throw travel distance vs FT HOn3 point travel

I'm going to use the Caboose Industries 220S ground throws for my Fast Tracks HOn3 turnouts. The only thing I've noticed is the Caboose ground throw has about .200" of travel and the turnout has about .125" of travel. I don't want the turnouts to bind when thrown.

Is there a way to rig the throw to take up the excess travel without causing a bind on the T/O?

I am not familiar with the Caboose Industries 220S ground throws. If you could post an image, I'm sure somebody will come up with an idea on how to overcome this issue. I would be inclined to shim the ground throw, but would need to see an image before making any further comment.

I was able to get the throw to work fine. It has some built in spring to absorb the lesser travel of the turnout points.

I have been using Caboose Industries ground throws for 20 plus years on all my HO,
HOn3, & Duel gauge turnouts and have never had any problem with ground throws
binding or sticking just be sure to mount them in a solid position and they'll be
trouble free.
