Should I solder wires to the micro-switch or find some sort of clip to attach it with?
While I'm here do I solder the piano wire to the throw bar?
Thanks,
Tom

That would depend on the wattage of your iron. I have a 12V pencil iron that should be safe on it. However if it were likely that the microswitch would be needed elsewhere at some point in the future, then use a spade connector.

Hello Tom,

The wire actuator (piano wire) is not soldered to the throwbar. Simply drill a .040" hole in the throwbar where the end of the actuator wire is inserted and is free to move it from side to side. The hole can be located in the center of the throwbar or at either side so long as it doesn't touch any of the rails.
