| Post subject: | PC Ties & QuickSticks Laser Cut Tie lattices |
Two questions: How does one best paint PC board ties to match wood ties? Second, I would like to glue the QuickSticks Laser Cut Tie turnout wooden lattices to the layout before I glue the turnout (rail & PC boards) to the wooden lattice, any problem doing it that way? |

As far as painting is concerned you can either paint them all in one pass using a spray paint method or you can simply brush paint all the ties with the same color paint and they will look much the same once ballasted. As for the gluing question the only thing you might have some difficulties with will be the extra plywood being glued down as well but again once ballasted this will not be visible (i.e. the cork will be pulled up where it has stuck to the extra plywood when you snap it off from the ties) so is not a problem. |
