What is the track spacing for a single crossover using #5 turnouts? When I layout 2 Quicksticks it appears to be 2.75". If I reduce one tie it seems to be 2.5". I want 2.25".

Same question with regard to a ladder. I was hoping to use 2" in the yard.

Thanks for your help...Ken

You just have to remove an equal amount of ties from the branch section of turnout until you get the track spacing. Over lap the turnouts branches while using a scale rule, it should show you what you need to remove. While your at it, crossovers usually have the ties paralelle to the turnouts ties, instead of angled like they are on the branch.
