Hello this is my first post :P
I have been a model railroader for almost 50 years and and electronic tech for 40. I have built many computers and soldered many components to PC boards using resin core solder and solid solder with resin paste, mainly because the acid core solder is highly corrosive to copper clad PC Boards.
I was wondering why you have chosen acid based flux to build your switches?
Do you wash the switches after finishing the basic construction to rid it of the corrosive effects of acid to the copper clad ties? Having had many years of soldering electronics myself I wondered if you have ever tried resin for flux or do you have better luck using the acid core due to cold solder problems?

The main reason I ask this is I have more than 20 "1"lb spools of both flux core 60/40 and solid Sn63 silver solder .031 Dia. and about 20 cans of resin flux . Will these solders work or have you had problems with this type solder?
Thanks :?: :D
