Hi Tim

I just ordered 3 twist ties in Sn3 #6. I printed out the users guide and have been checking out the procedures. The review has brought two questions to mind.

First, with the fixtures we can take the turnout to the sink to wash off the acid flux used for the soldering. I can definietly wash the frog in the sink before installation (if this is even necessary), however, when doing the throw bar and the jumpers between the closure and stock rails, I cannot move to the sink. Will a scrubbing with some soapy water and a brushing with a steel brush be adequate or should I just use a rosin core flux.

Second, looking at the construction and the cutting of the frog isolation gaps, I assume that I'll need to power both the frog rail and both wing/closure rails on the frog side of the isolation gap

Thanks

Jim
