Is there any chance that Tim or others can produce a guide on how to use jigs and tools to produce and assemble a double track crossing.

Current jigs are great for single track, but what additional issues would be needed to make a double track crossing?

Thanks

When you say a double track crossing I presume that you are referring to having a single track crossing a double track using diamonds. If I am correct the easiest way to do this is to build the diamonds as you normally would and then position the diamonds next to each other properly centered on the double track side and mark the rails on the single track side so that you can then butt them together after cutting the rail back so that the diamonds wind up centered correctly. Keep in mind that the two diamonds must be electrically isolated from each other so that the track polarities can be switched to allow trains to cross without creating a short circuit situation.

Yes, that is what I was talking about and thinking as well.

With 2" spacing it shouldn't be a problem I would think, and I should be able to use insulated joiners to keep each diamond separate.

Thanks for advice. 8)
