Well, just a note to see what all has been going on with all you customers using the fine products we buy from Tim, Terry and the family at Fast Tracks.

The discussion boards have been very slow and no posts in over a month.

I am using my #8 Double Crossover jig to build double crossovers, single crossovers and standard turnouts for use on my Free-Mo layouts.

I have seen many turnouts used on other Free-mo modules all from Fast Track designs. One guy was bold enough to use the printed template to build his turnouts, as he said to only build one was not worth the cost of jig.

Just trying to get some conversations going about how we are using what we buy. 8)

If you already have the point form tools for the size of turnout you are attempting to build then using the paper template is an alternative to the jig if you only really need one turnout. In general though for most turnouts you will want at least two (one of each hand for a double ended siding) But in the few cases where a unique size is needed it can be done. Working without the point form tool can be done but it requires a steady hand and a good eye to do it.
