Has anyone had problems making stub switches with the jigs?

Seems that the turnout rails are at too sharp an angle for the bridle rails to bend to the correct angle.

I built stub switches on the #8 crossover. They worked, but it was hard to make sure they were hitting the spot. I think it better to use stub switches on longer turnouts, such as #10 or higher.

I'm new to this, I will start building Stub Switches as soon as I master "regular" switches. I need to make them #5, so would it help if the bridle rails were as long as possible?
