Hi guys,

I think I saw on Fast Tracks site two kinds of HO PC board ties - 1/16'' and 1/32'' thick. Are they really two different kinds of ties , and which one should I choose ?

Cheers!

Different thickness. All depends on the wooden ties you choose to use.

The PC ties should 'hang' between the wood ties and when you ballast, all will be well. PC ties are for securing the rail gauge and geometry of the turnout.

I estimate I have about 5 pounds of coupler springs somewhere in the vicinity of my workbench.

Use the 1/16 PC ties. Yes there are MANY wooden ties from a variety of suppliers. FastTracks does supply correct HO 7 x 9 prototype ties (which is the .1 x .08). The PC ties will NOT be the same height as the wood ties (and that's what you want).
