I am building a layout using 2 inch foam over 1/2 inch plywood. I would like to use Bullfrog turnout controls. Does anyone have experience mounting the Bullfrog controls at least 2 inches below the level of the track. What is the maximum the control can be mounted below track level? Are there any tricks to making this work? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I mounted the Bullfrogs on wider pieces of hobby plywood using screws so they can still be adjusted a bit. The plywood was then mounted to the foam using 1-1/2" screws and construction adhesive. Works great and the wider pieces help take some of the side to side shock from throwing the turnouts. I also used longer wires to throw my turnouts through 4" of foam. Works great.
