Here is a video I made of a simple tip that I do to form the guardrails.

Probably just me but whenever I would just use my thumb, the angle would be more of a radius bend than a nice sharp angle.

This procedure creates a nice sharp angle right at the bend point.

Hope it helps.

I estimate I have about 5 pounds of coupler springs somewhere in the vicinity of my workbench.

I've now saved that to favourites in Firefox.

SLI_Fallen,

We always welcome great ideas such as this and will be sure to share the technique with other customers! It would also be nice to have a name to give credit where credit is due. You can contact me off-list if you wish.

No Problem. Lee Dixon. You will recognize the name from your Facebook site too. I've posted a few times.

Glad to give a little back. Your fantastic tutorials and this community are what got me this far. And I still have much to learn.

Edit. And by the way. Sorry for the "echo" with the sound quality. I was doing this work in a garage

Thanks again Lee. Don't worry about the sound quality because I think everyone will get the message loud and clear. Tim adds his compliments to a great idea!
