I have been working on a Yard module project for some time now and while I completed the mainline areas a while back I needed to redo some of that to install some crossovers to allow access to the 4 track receiving/departure yard from the inside main. I have been working on the 3 track outer yards for the past couple months and have been taking some photos of the progress. I will post some of those photos here.

I apologize for the size of the photos. I am not sure how to make them smaller.

Nice looking yard. I like all that hand laid track. Are those N Track modules? Just wondering after noticing the 3 mainlines down the middle.

I'm getting into the finishing stages of an N Track Yard modules project myself. I built all the turnouts but chose to use ME code55 Flextrak. I have 18 feet of 30" deep modules, four 4' modules and one 2' module. I've got 3 mainlines and 12 siding tracks which will give our group a lot of track for displaying and having ready to run trains during shows, something we have lacked in the past. I built all #6 and #7 turnouts so that we could get some of the larger steam engines in and out of the yard tracks ok.

These are done in HO scale. In N sclae I could probably have done at least 15 tracks on the inside yard and 5 tracks on the outside.

hoborob,

Search, download and use "XnView" - free graphics and photo editing software. Best program I know of for preparing photos for forum and web site posting. See results applied to your picture below:

I estimate I have about 5 pounds of coupler springs somewhere in the vicinity of my workbench.

I have resized what I have so I'll post a few more.

I am using the Stain pens from Minnwax to color the ties, For most of them I am using the Dark Walnut (2716) stain.

Probably a bit late now, but images can be re-sized using Microsoft Paint.

Speaking of being a bit late, your reply is only 18 months late. :D
