I think this is a switch machine similar to the Blue Point Turnout Controller with provisions for a cable or wire connection for manual control and simple electrical contacts for frog power routing.

Its some kind of small cab sitting on a small two axle truck which pivots in the center. Kinda of like a small Donkey Crane! That is what I think it is.

Could it be a Ballast spreader or some type of Track painting Jig?

I think it's the case for a slow motion switch machine

It the float bridge lift and control building.

It is a quantum vacuum intenselizer device to redirect virtual quantum particles onto the rails at the points where we normally cut the rail gaps so that we no longer have to break jewelers saw blades since there will now be no need to gap the rails. What a money saver!

Well...it looks to me like the guts for the TieBreaker tool ... ?

I think I have a pretty decent idea as to how all the parts fit together but I have no clue as to what it might be!

Maybe some kind of bending tool, like a mini rail/pipe bender?

Im pretty keen to learn more about those money savers, especially because I'm a student with little income and big plans to begin my first layout!

What ever it is, only 7 more days till we find out. Who had the closest guess to real design?? Tim or Ron would have to make that call.

I hate not getting the $100 bucks.

Fast Tracks makes Templates, Jigs and Fixtures. I now believe this to be one of the three for building manual hand thrown switch controllers for their Turnouts with electrical connection to be attached.

I don't think folks have been focusing on the hint. It's a money-saving line of products. To save money on something like a switch machine, over a $15 tortoise, you would have to produce something really cheap; hard to do in smaller quantities.

But what are the most expensive parts of hand laid track? Well, the jigs, pointform, stockaid, and frog helper parts. Indeed, all of these are specific to a particular size turnout, in both rail size and in diverging rate.

I also think that although the picture looks to be wood that it is simply cheaper/faster for making a prototype, and the final unit will be out of metal.

So I'm guessing some sort of adjustable jig, pointform, stockaid, or frog helper that will greatly reduce the number of variants you have to buy to make a complete line. Also sounds like something you would announce at a major train show!
